Who Are We Looking For?

An Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialist that will focus primarily on the collection of overdue accounts, generating reports, preparing purchases and interacting with clients. This position reports directly to the Credit Manager. The Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialist will have a completed post-secondary diploma or degree in accounting, business administration or related study combined with 3-5 years’ experience in a departmental role with some project management experience. The successful applicant will have strong full cycle accounts receivable experience and be proficient in MS Excel. A valid “G” class Driver’s License with no DUI convictions is required.

An Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialist must perform his / her tasks with a high level of accuracy and precision. The individual must be highly organized and detail-oriented, in addition to being able to work collaboratively with other departments. He / she must possess strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to be self-sufficient and make day to day decisions about accounts, and excellent customer service skills. Exceptional information management, organizational and negotiating skills are also required to be successful in this role.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Generating aged accounts receivable reports as required.
  • Preparing and organizing documentation necessary to collect payments.
  • Following up on open items and bringing them to a resolution on assigned accounts receivable.
  • Recording the collection status of overdue accounts.
  • Maintaining accurate accounts receivable vendor information.
  • Communicating with customers via phone, email or mail.
  • Identifying, preparing and recording all billable activity resulting from new and existing sales contracts and ad-hoc agreements within month-end time constraints.
  • Successfully resolving all billing-related client requests and inquiries, while also serving as the client’s primary point of contact;
  • Verifying validity of vendor credit requests.
  • Obtaining executive sign-off on all billable activities.
  • New billing account service setup in the system according to contracts and ad-hoc agreements.
  • Billing and account reconciliations.
  • Completing vendor registration and account statement documents.
  • Completing any client requested insurance and number identification documents.

A Business Development Representative is responsible for identifying potential prospective companies that meet a specific target profile, contacting key decisions makers at the company and developing a level of interest with these individuals. The main objective is to initiate the first step in the sales cycle by persuading the prospect to login and view an online demonstration of Alert Driving’s solutions before being passed to a Senior Account Executive. The Business Development Representative reports directly to the Director of Sales Planning & Support. A Business Development Representative must have a minimum of 2 years telephone sales experience, strong computer Skills – Excel, SalesForce CRM, Outlook and good typing speed, and no criminal or driving violations including a DUI or suspended license.

A Business Development Representative must possess excellent phone manners and the ability to control conversations with top level executives within an organization. You will need to think on your feet, possess a strong work ethic and positive attitude as well as strong negotiation skills, and a keen sense of urgency.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Researching potential prospects that meet Alert Driving’s target company profile.
  • Getting past the gatekeeper and reaching top level executives, including C-level, Senior Vice Presidents, executives, targeting three primary departments:
    • Safety.
    • Risk.
    • Fleet.
  • Asking proper qualifying questions and using this information to assign access to a custom training program based on their unique fleet compositions.
  • Demonstrating Alert Driving’s value proposition in a short period of time;
  • Following up with prospects (if they have not logged in);
  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of Alert Driving goals and target market; and
  • Providing management with market feedback.
